My name is Manwa Qasim Ahmed Al-Ajla, from Gaza. I married my husband, Mohammed Fadel Al-Aboudi, just one month before the war began.
Our life together has been nothing but struggle. My husband was injured in the 2021 war, leaving him with permanent physical and visual disabilities. Now, he cannot help me care for our baby boy, Qasim.
We have lost everything. Our home in Al-Shuja’iya was destroyed, and we are now displaced, living in a tent under unbearable conditions. The heat is suffocating, and Qasim cries through the night from hunger and exhaustion. There is no milk for him, and sometimes no food at all.
Living in the tent is harsh — there is no clean water, no safety, and no comfort for a small child. I am doing everything I can, but I cannot give my baby what he needs to survive without help.
